is it true that if you smoke one cigarette your lungs will go back to the way they were functioning when lets say you smoked a pack every three days ?

no-it takes awhile for your lungs to heal when you decide to quit, and if you start again it will take more than one cig to get your lungs ugly again.

No this is not true and you should not believe it even if a health professional or doctor said so. If you do quit smoking cigarettes though and you start again it will again become an addiction and it will be very hard to quit again.
