Both would be the ultimate test of Faith!

This is how I see it:

God calls us His Children,
God does not call us His Gay Children.

God does not See what we Do, but Who We Are!

I could explain more of how I got to this point, but it is a journey one must take at their own pace.

Hello!! :o) I'm also BOTH!! [Gay and Christian] And in my experience - I've had to deal with considerably more grief from gay people than I have from Christian people. Go figure. That said.. my relationship with God far outweighs my desire to be sexually intimate with a guy. And until I'm sure that God is OK with me BEING sexually intimate with a guy - I'll remain celibate. [As I have been for almost a decade now] Let me tell you something. There is a whole lot of freedom [emotional and otherwise] that goes along with NOT having sex!! Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

Ok, I am going to assume this is a real question and as such will offer a real answer. To be one or the other, regardless of what some may think, can be difficult. Being Gay or Christian, opens you to ridicule by some and derision by others. To be both, which I am, is doubly difficult, but in the end, our faith in each other, our community and our God is what will make us stronger. Those who would condemn gays as being against God, do not understand the love in which God has given us. We are ALL His children, and I believe He loves me and you, just the way we are.

I veritas et pax.

I don't believe that someone can be a pervert and a christian simultaeneously. Perversion ( like many other sins) is against the Christian dogma and as such a person living a " double Life" would just be fooling themselves about being a christian. The bible says you cannot serve two masters.

I am both. That said, there are many churches that would not welcome me, but there are many that do. Many people who call themselves Christian spend a lot of time acting like they are God - judging others when they are in no position to do so. I believe that God loves me and there is nothing sinful in loving another woman. I find it difficult to believe that God will punish me for loving someone. I believe that if I am kind and treat others well then He is pleased with me. I think it is very tough to be gay - mostly because society does not accept it. I don't find it hard to be Christian nor to find other Gay Christians. I'm in a 10+ year committed relationship, but if I weren't and wanted to meet someone I would look in places - like a church that is accepting of gays - to meet other gay christians. I definitely wouldn't look for them at gay bars or clubs - the odds of finding them there would be very tough. Good luck!

I am both- i pray-i believe in God~all of it~ And guess what? No i am not going to hell for who i love!People tell me i am-but there are too many bad people out there that do awful things-the bashers need to move on over and talk to those folks, maybe they could bring the good out-and our world would be alot better!
Also i think all the people who talk about the gays need to take a closer look at their own life~are they 100% right with God? I think not cause if you are human-you are a sinner-we are all sinners,we just have to ask for forgiveness for our sins-but no use God as a spare tire! I was raised in church-i have went to church most of my life-I know what the bible says-But it also says He who is without sin-Cast the first stone! I don't believe anyone here on Earth will be casting any stones-because the world's full of sin!!!!!!

It's not so hard to be one or the other, or both. What's hard is for others to accept you as Gay, or Christian, or both. And for someone who can, he or she is a real Christian, Gay or otherwise.

There are many gay people that are Christians. They just know better than to believe the crap shoveled to them by holier-than-thou fanatics. There are gays in every religious denomination. They don't need the approval of bigots to have a relationship with God. Harder? Probably, but that all depends on what one puts stock in, their own beliefs or the babbling b.s. of fanatic fringers.

mingosalaz,
Well, I am Bi and Chrsitan. Is it hard? I don't know if my life is any harder than anyone elses. I guess it's lonely. Some times you can have both sides wanting to kill you. Literally or figuratively. But I am in Christ no less than anyone else. So I get my strength through Jesus Christ whether I am attacked from one side or the other.

I like it sometimes because I am different, and saved.

Metro Community Church's who's ministry is the GLBT community is filled with GLBT Christians. Every religion in existence has GLBT believers. The leap of faith required to believe in God, accept Jesus as your personal savior and in so doing, gives you a place at his His table in heaven, does not require that you are heterosexual.
