how can u tell if ur pregnant with a boy or a girl..im pregnant myself and was wondering cuz ive heard some myths on how u can tell what the sex of the baby is

If you feel particularly moody during pregnancy, you're more likely to have a girl. Clearly, this is not an old wives tale to be taken to heart!

Resting During Pregnancy
Which side does the pregnant woman prefer to lie on, while resting? If she prefers her left side, it's a boy; her right, it's a girl.

Mother's Age At Conception
If the mother's age, at conception, and the year of conception are both even or both odd, the baby is a girl. If one is even and one is odd, then the baby is a boy.

Pendant Theory
Dangle a pendant over the palm of the mother's hand. If the pendant rotates in a circular motion, it's going to be a girl. If it swings backwards and forwards, it's more likely to be a boy.

Conception and Aggression
If the woman was the more aggressive partner, at conception, the baby will be a boy. If the father was the more aggressive, then the baby will be a girl.

Salty Or Sweet?
A salty diet, prior to conception, increases a woman's chances of having a boy. (Warning! Don't do this if you're on a salt-restricted diet!) Alternatively, a largely sweet diet, before conception, is said to produce more girls. However, there are better ways if gender selection is your objective.

Baby Position
If you carry the baby "out front" it's a boy. If people can tell that you are pregnant, when looking at you from behind, then you're carrying a girl.

Baby's Heart Rate
Over 140 beats per minute for a girl, less than 140 for a boy. No firm evidence exists for this theory, but it's a fascinating possibility, nonetheless!

You are absolutely right... they are just myths. Some of my favorites are that if you're carrying low, you are having a girl. Boys, you will carry high and straight out. Also, girls heartbeats are faster than boys.

My best suggestion is to get an ultrasound and let the technician tell you. Besides, even then, it's not 100% accurate.

I wouldn't count on myths. Also by the way I've been pregnant 5 times: 2 girls and 3 boys. I got morning sickness with all of them. Matter a fact my first girl made me sick the worst.

Don't believe those myths! Everything from the way I was carrying the baby to the heart beat and even the draino test told me I was having a girl and now I have a very cute little boy!!!

've heard that you will have a boy if you carry out far and low, and baby girls heart beats faster than boys and I've been told by my mom that if you mix half your urine with half of crystal Drano beads and your mix it together OUTSIDE!!! i repeat OUTSIDE because it will smoke, if it turns yellow its a girl, and if it turns blue its a boy... maybe that will help!! that's what my mom did with me and my brother and each time it was correct... you could probably by the beads from any store, maybe Orchard Supply, Home Depot, Grocery store... i hope everything goes well!!

U can't really tell. Those myths are crazy! I carried high with my son and my stomach looked like a basketball, and his heartbeat was very fast. All my weight was out front. That was pretty much until the 8th month, then I started looking like Fiona from Shrek. I had weight everywhere! My nose was my face. That's all I can tell you. Good luck!

If you are all belly you are having a boy if you are caring the weight all over then a girl this is what I was told. Now I had a sonogram 3 times and was told I was having a girl. My neighbor walked up to me one day and told me your nose is blown up you are having a boy and she was right with my second baby my nose blew up and it was boy again.

you cant really go by myths, but there is this website i went to, when I was pregnant with my last and 3rd child I paid 10.00 and it was right I showed by sister in law and she used it and it was right! I wish I remembered what it was. You can go in your search bar and type "how to predict what you will have boy or girl" something like that and you'll find it.
