How would one save their family without saving themself?

Its a silly question bc nobody will ever face that question. Even if my house burns down, that is not a question I will have to answer.

Saving people is always noble, whether they are your family or a friend or anyone in dire need of being saved. Talking about it is the easy part but doing it is something else. Instinctively, I will save my family to answer your question.

I would save my family which consist of 2 children and a grandchild. I wouldn't want to live knowing I was selfish enough to spare myself, plus what else is there to live for besides your children and/or grandchildren. Nothing is more prescious to me..

Duh!

I'd save my family. But tell me a situation in which you'd have to and be able to make that choice.

Family. Sure I'd die, but I'd rack up the good karma and come back as a rich man or something.

Definitely family because if I don't, how will I be able to live knowing what I've done.

would have to try to save family first, if I died in the process I'd just wait for them in Heaven.
