I was born in 1982 - dog. so this year im 24.
this is called " benming nian"(your own year) - you should wear something red on you. ie underwear, socks...... to avoid bad things happens.
most of the time you cannot know your sign only by year, especially you were born in Jan.& Feb. because these Chinese Signs is following Chinese Canlenda only. And the Chinese New Year always comes at the end of Jan. or the beginning of Feb.

I happen to like it too I have alot of respect for my animal the Monkey... as for my family members my mom is a horse, Dad is a dragon, brother is a pig/boar, step-mom is a dog, step sister is a dragon, and my half sister is a goat/sheep.

I'm a dragon/serpent, and it describes my personality fairly well. I like how the Chinese Zodiac determines your sign by birth year.
