First off, Halloween is on a Tuesday. A good costume you could try would be like one of those like Scream costumes with like blood circulating through the face. Be sure to wear a hood to really sell the scary image. I'm not sure, but I'd be freaked out by that on Halloween.

I always seem to go for the "traditional" ones for some reason(ie witch, cats, vampires) but I think that SAW doll/clown scared the crap out of me. Maybe you should check it they have masks like that. You know Chucky might be a good one to go as!

I'm concerned you don't have a calendar.
My husband's friend did Leatherface last year, apron, REAL chainsaw and all........it was AWESOME! Add your own blood. haha. Perhaps an "inlaw" costume would be even more frightening....?
