where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 2002 ford taurus?

where can i locate the crankshift position sensor on my 2002 ford taurus se to replace is difficult task or easy any advice

under the exhaust manifold. yes it is difficult. take it to a mechanic because u will need a special wrench.

It is located at the nose of the crankshaft, right at the harmonic balancer. Not terribly difficult. Raise the car and place it on stands. (SAFETY) Remove the right front wheel, and you should be able to see what else has to be removed for access. No special tools necessary.
