100 year old purse, books, and possible original painting of Jesus any help would be appreciated

Various items require various appraisers. The easiest solution is if they are doing an antique road show in your neighborhood this weekend -- wouldn't that be nice.
First things first. Figure out if you know what each item is like the designer of the purse, or the copywrite on the book, etc. Try going to Ebay, look for similar items and see if there are any listed. Then go to the boards and post a picture they will help you figure out if your item is in fact worth something.
Once you have the basic raw data, now you can go to the right appraiser and then determine what value they have.

Try an antique dealer,,,, antique books,,,,,,,,,,if the Antique Road Show, comes close to you, take them there.
