I seem to get sore throats pretty often. I'm a fit person, I eat generally healthy foods, I don't smoke or drink heavily, yet I still get sore throats. Not to mention, when I get them, they last for a long time. I had one this summer that lasted for 4 weeks, no joke! I can come up with no reason as to why I get them. I've been to doctors, and they tell me nothing.
I'm been wondering if its possible that the sore throats are caused by my tonsils. I know some people have them removed at a young age, or later in life. Would getting them removed help me out? Anyone have any sources which link sore throats as a direct effect of 'bad' tonsils?
