More info about what you can do would have been helpful but what I have done is ceramic painting, wood burning, make my own cards, wood building, Anything from you that you make, from your heart, is the best gift to give. I have done a scrap book on the computer, basically a slide show of picture from the past year, old pictures of the family, with heart warming music that will play on a DVD player to play on the TV. My mom LOVED it, tears in her eyes. And she wanted another one! There is nothing that I can think of that could beat that one.

Glass Block lights that sounds great!

We did glass ornaments - took circle pieces about 4" and used digital camera and took pictures and selected the appropriate ones for the receiver and used a metal bracket to hold together and then bought ribbon and then some beads stuff (some with the year, love, joy) and added that to the hanger.

Last year, a friend of mine made everyone a topiary. We absolutely loved them! I was going to describe it to you, but found a link describing a similar project. Instead of using a terra cotta pot, my friend used plastic topiary pots she purchased a local craft store, and spray painted them white. She also used a stick from her yard instead of a broom handle. She also made topiaries with sea shells. I think this project allows for a lot room for your own creativity and personalization.

My Mom bought some wooden serving trays at Michael's, painted them either green or red, and then decoupaged a nice Christmas card, small fabric panel, or other picture into it. (Then sealed it). I still use mine for serving candy or appetizers.
