First of all you need a wireless router which will transmit the internet signal and your laptop will need a wireless receiver like a PCMCIA or a WI-FI already setup in your laptop. I would recommend a Linksys wireless router which will provide internet to your PC and to your wireless network. They are very easy to setup and Linksys has a very good on-line help line.

Yes, both things are possible. Printer Sharing: First of goto your PC, and within properties of installed printers, allow Printer Sharing to all. Then go to your notebook. goto Add Printers, choose network printer, and add the required ones to your laptop. Now whenever u wish to get some print from your notebook, make sure the PC as well as printers are switched ON too. If you do not wish do keep your PC switched on, then you will have to purchase another hardware called Print Server. This is a small box, you will attach both your printers to this Print Server, and then attach this print server to you Wireless Router. In this scenario your router has to be ON ( which usually is always ON ). File Sharing: Goto specific files or folders on your PC, right click, choose properties, and there choose File Sharing.

very easy go into my network places. On the left you will see
Setup a home or small buisness office.
This will launch a wizard that will take you thru the process. It will even create a floppy to use in any PC you want to use this share with.
Any PC/laptop using the share will need wireless. As above answers, secure your network

Enabeling share this internet connection is when you have one PC connected to the internet and other PC connect to the Internet through this PC. I think you have a router, so you don't need to do this. All you need to do is In your router's configuration page, the SSID, and Chanal # setting should be the same as your network card's SSID, and Chanal #.

And please don't forget to lock your router so that no one in your vicinity can jump on your wifi and use your connection illegally.
