I have.
Have you been through some changes, some personal growth recently?
You probably haven't converted to Hare Krishna so I'll use that as an example. If you had, would their reactions be a lot different from what you're experiencing? You probably haven't been lost on a desert island for five years, so I'll use that as another example. Would you be a different person afterward, and would they not have the same trouble adjusting to you?
It's possible that you're not really the person they think they know anymore. Relationships of any kind get rocky when you change without the other person realizing it.
If that's the case, you have a few options. You can go back to being the old you, which I don't recommend, or you can move on and find new people that you relate to, and if the old friends and family catch up, great.
There's a lot of things that trigger the kind of emotional growth that causes this kind of thing, mostly things that cause you to see yourself in a different way. Near death experience, being recognized for an accomplishment in education or work, some tremendous personal success, some tremendous personal failure, or a religious experience.
Maybe you've changed, and maybe that's not a bad thing.

yes, and it actually makes me feel better knowing that someone else feels like this too.
I'm in college, and all of my friends are somewhere else or too busy. Nobody seems to care about anybody else. My family was split up becuase of a divorce. I have a twin brother who goes to the same college as me, but for the first time in my life, i don't see him every day... i'm lucky if i see him once a month. I have a hard time feeling alone too.
Whenever I feel alone, I'll think of you feeling alone too! I think that will make me feel better, how about you?

Juana, sorry to hear that. Everybody experiences sadness at some point in there lives. You just need to find a way to move beyond it. Get yourself out of the house and maybe get involved with community work or volunteer work. There are lots of avenues to explore, but there not going to come knocking on your door. Be assertive, take life by the balls.
