It works for me. Just need to renew every 5 years. So does the other one for credit card offers in the mail.

I think it's VERY effective. We have received NO sales calls since then. The only thing we still get is from places that say they are the firemen or policemen begging for donations. But we also put our number and name on the optout list saying we didn't want any credit cards.

It is somewhat, but you can still be contacted by businesses that you have been in contact for the past six months. They seem to call more frequently. There is a securtiy screen feature from local phone companies. This requires them to identify their number, BUT they can always enter any number. Go ahead and register, you will see some decrease.

It sure seems like it's not effective. I still get all sorts of calls and I've been on it for 3 years!

Yes it is! I signed up my parents, too, since they don't have internet.

I have also used a Telezapper and now have a new, unlisted number. The only calls I get are from wrong numbers.

I highly recommend using it.

YEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our state (WI) started one I think about 2 or 3 years ago. We went from sometimes as many as 5-8 sales calls a day to NONE!!! I am not exagerating on either of thoes figures. It is wonderful!!!!! We claimed back dinner time!

i;ve had it three years now, no one calls except the police for their money drives.
