Yep, you can get over the counter stuff just about anywhere. If you want, you can try some plain 'ol alcohol - just don't use very much. Put a few drops in your ear, then bend your head over so that the liquid can roll out.

Yes, there are over-the-counter medications for swimmer's ear. But talk with the pharmacist to make sure that's what you have. If it's just blocked passages (which is what swimmer's ear is, basically) s/he'll be able to give you something. If you have an infection, or if there is any kind of discharge, you should head for your doctor's office and get a prescription.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

Rite Ad and Ralphs have an over the counter medication for swimmers ear.

It is called Swimmer's Ear
There is a picture of a mna diving into a pool on the bottle.

These are drops that should be placed into the ear twice daily.

If you already have swimmers ear, go to the doctor. I think those over the counter ones are for preventing, not treating.
Fix it before it becomes a fullblown unbearable infection.

Go to a walkin clinic. Don't wait for your regular Dr. on Monday. It will get very painful and nothing over the counter I have found works.

You can use a mix of rubbing alchohol and vineger but if it's acute you should get some antibiotics. A warm towel or a hair dryer set at low and held somewhat away from the ear may help.

Any physician should be able to perscribe it, but I don't think its sold over the counter.
