If you buy cheap ones, you get what you pay for.......I learned to spend a few bob more for quality cables....it's totally worth it!!!

sorry this isn't an answer but i have a similar problem. my guitar jack seems fine, worked well right up until a week ago. I had 2 cables, 1 expensive and 1 cheaper, and while the cheap one listed longer than the expensive one now they are both dead. could it be something wrong with the guitar, or is it just sheer bad luck?

On the end of the cable where the wire goes into the metal piece that plugs in the wire is atached to the plug by a cheap solder. Resolder it or get a new cable

1. Maybe it is the amp
2. Have your guitar jacks changed / upgraded
3. Standing to close to the amp for extended periods while plugged in might bother your electronics (internal feedback)

maybe the wiring is messed up. or the amp could be messed up. id check both, or just get a new cord.

you could be having cable shorts. your wire is broken inside

what do you do: Buy a new one
