You can get a 1gb Creative Labs Nano for around 70 bucks. I bought one and it's got awsome quality earbud headphones. Also, it's got great battery life.

Plus, why follow the iPod fad. I mean everyone has an iPod. A kid asked me what brand my mp3 was and I told him it's a Creative Nano and he had never even heard of it.

I bought one of these from Best Buy for $135, 2G model. I am not a fan of the Apple bandwagon. The supplied headphones aren't great but none of them come with great headphones. I use another set and I love the little thing.

about a 4 gig mp3 player, tiny versions have a flash drive, more songs per charge, ipods suck in my opinion - have a harddrive in them and holds less of a charge
