Maybe abolish the pension for congressmen, put a two term limit on them.
When people don't vote, , or when people vote for one party or the other just because "great granpappy did, and so did grampaw and so did my old man and me ,and all muh kids"--then look what we get.
Has anybody ever looked at Congress; how many of our nation's leaders have such lousy credit, have declared bankruptcy, have been arrested for drunk driving, domestic violence, or drug use?

The congress is firmly enconsed in the way they do business, and they will never change. The only solution I see is to vote out the incumbents, don't vote for dems or republicans. Vote for independents or Libertarians. The status quo is getting old, The bickering and fingerpointing is beyond old, Lets vote for change. Push for term limits, get rid of the old turds with the connections to the big money corporations, lets get a government for the people, not for the businesses. We are being ripped off by the old turds and have been for the last fourty years. Vote 'em out

We did nothing wrong, the people of Fla, may be partially responsible for voting Foley into a position of responsibility. But even they are not the blame it is Foley himself. However if there was a cover up, it should be investigated thoroughly and we as citizens should pressure the congress to do that. Those responsible should be dealt with harshly with those that are most responsible removed from office.

Vote for someone new. Not necessarily Republican or Democrat, but maybe Independent or even Libertarian. Whatever the choice, get those crooks out of office. To be able to do that everyone must vote!!!
