YES!!!!! A large part of the economy runs on people making effective demand for glittering objects of brief use and then discarding them for other glittering objects of brief use. Our consumer society is infatuated with trivia. If people learned to desire what is of lasting worth and real value, it would be a different economy and a happier world.
