and you hardly ever saw them before...???? and they THOUGHT they knew you better than they did....interesting...cuz really know one knows anyone....

well we really have a busy busy world and we dont even see or know who really knows us, who should be considered as friends, or friendly strangers, something like that , we cant even relate much to people anymore, i also have that dilemma, i guess after not seeing them for 15 years you can still consider them as acquaintances, former acquaintances, and if they are worth the friendship go give it to them , we need lots and lots of friends to get us by

Unless they are family they are only someone you use to know. Maybe well, maybe not. But yes only an acquaintance.

If you have seen them in 15years then I would say they are acquaintances.Unless they are long lost family members.
