OK there are 11 positrons on the field no matter what
on offense there's a
quarterback who throws the ball and takes the snaps
a tail back or half back who takes the hand offs and runs the ball on the ground
wide receivers who catch the ball thrown by the quarterback
offensive linemen always 5 of them they block defensive players
there can also be tight ends who are a mix between offensive linemen and wide receivers
and there are fullbacks a mix between running backs and tight ends
on defense
there are defensive linemen normally 2 in the middle and 2 on the outside of the offensive line but can be any were in that area and can be any were from 3-6 if u want these players try and get the quarterback before he throws or stop a running back early
line backers who stand behind the defensive line they can cover tight ends and reveries but most the time stop running backs
then there are corner backs who cover deceivers and safeties who prevent big plays
thats the basic there are also kickers who punt the ball for field position and kick for three points or 1 point after a touchdown

whoa, that question is un american.
okay, one team kicks off (kicks the ball as far as they can). the other team catches it and runs toward their endzone until they are tackled. Then they have four tries (downs) to try to gain 10 yards. If they succeed, they get another four tries to gain an additional ten yards, and the process continues until a touchdown is made. However, If they did not succeed in gaining ten yards, the ball is turned over to the other team and they get 4 downs to gain ten yards. After a touchdown is made, additional points can be earned by kicking a field goal (one point) or tying for a 2 point conversion. thats the jist of it.

It is kinda like war. You defend your territory (50 yards) plus end zone, (which is your goal) You can run the ball if you can avoid the enemy trying to kill you. You can pass the ball, if the enemy doesnt catch it first. If you drop it, the enemy can pick it up and go towards your end zone with it. Then you have to defend your end zone.
