Is there lingering intra racism in white America?

Was there still some interacial racist attidue remaining amongst white Americans up until 20th century or even possibly in present time???? Example of such attidue would be Northern white Americans considering Souther white Americans as "Souther Trash" or Southern white Americans still using the term "Yankee" secretively about Northern white Americans. This is very remiscient of American Civil War era. I thought intra racial attidue is totally and absolutely non-existent amongst white Americans. Am I wrong? I may be wrong and if yes that's very very interesting not that it's a good thing.

No. I meant INTRA RACIAL attidues amonst white Americans (Caucasians).

I don't think Americans in the north consider ALL southern Americans to be trash. Just the ones that live and act like trash. And there are plenty of those in the north and midwest, too... not just in the south.

I allways refer to northerners as Yankees.I am sure not shy about it. I even have a yankee friend.never thought that would happen. its not put down its a fact. they are Yankees. they call them self's Yankees. Yankee doodle dandys. there are for millions of years built into the human DNA they remnents of a trible culture were if you are not of the tribe you are run off are killed. it is a fact that people won t to be around there on people. there is nothing wrong with it. it is a human caricaturist.one day millions of years from now yes we will ALL be brown.

O, yes. Unfortunately, racism & prejudice of every kind is still alive & well & probably will be for some time. There's really no logic to it, but we're probably all guilty of it to some degree. It doesn't matter who initiates it or at whom it's directed, it's still just as wrong.

Of course there will always be racism. Racism is like world hunger, it is impossible to make it disappear completely. The best we can do is to make it better by embracing each other as brothers and sisters and as human beings, not as blacks or whites.
