it might have been a panic attack...your heart races and you get dizzy and sometimes you think your limbs are going numb, and think you're going to have a heart attack or pass out or die, and then once you remove yourself from the situation you feel fine again. it's brought on by too much stress. just try and take like 15 minutes out of your day and do something relaxing - something that you want to do, and just think calming thoughts. if it gets too bad, go see a doctor. that's what i did.

The condition is tachycardia. The good news is that the odds are 99.9 percent that there is nothing wrong. The bad news is that without exception, you should always schedule a Doctor's visit when you have any kind of problem with your heart so they can have a listen. They'll be able to give you reassurance that they don't hear anything wrong, but to be on the safe side they will likely ask to put you on the machine that measures your heart rate and records any abnormalities. Based on this test, they may also decide to give you a Holter test. This is a 24 hour test wearing a monitor, but it is worth taking to make sure that the tachycardia isn't happening when you can not feel it. Be sure to have it checked out but it is probably nothing serious. It usually goes away on it's own, but you never want to assume that.

When your heart rate elevates without cause (without intense activity or exercise), there may be a problem. Check with your doctor to make sure everything is okay. He may recommend an EKG or other tests to find out what is causing the racing heart beat. Don't take chances and don't start an exercise program (as someone here suggested) without a check-up.

While it could have been other things, it also could have been due to a low blood sugar episode. For basic information on this, check out www.hufa.org - especially the symptoms link.

That's called palpitations and it can happen when under stress or if you have a blood pressure spike. See your doctor if you're concerned about it.

This is sometimes called a palpitation and can be brought on by too much steam in the bathroom. If it happens again or you are concerned about it please see your doctor..

Lack of oxygen to brain so your body released adrenaline. You need to exercise more.
