A very small drop or two of food colouring. Put all in a plastic bag and shake vigorously. The salts will colour evenly, and some will be much darker than others - it looks really nice. You'll like it - have fun!
You can also add a drop of a scented oil at the same time as the colouring.

Put the salts in a glass jar, drop a couple of drops of food coloring in the jar with the salts, tighten the lid and shake vigorously. The longer you shake the better as it will distribute the color better.

I used to make those with my lady Scouts. We placed epsom salt and a sprint nutrients coloring into espresso cans and a few drops of oil. Shake nicely. proceed to characteristic nutrients coloring into needed colour is achieved. We made those for presents and could placed them into little jars with fabric rounds draped over the lid and tied with ribbon. much less costly, hassle-free, speedy and exciting!

Aromatherapy suppliers sell special coloring agents, they are designed to not stain or damage skin or tubs and tiles and these are the safest to use, especially if you are going to sell them or give them as gifts.
Why color them? go natural....add small amounts of herbs and lavender flowers or the like (small amounts, you don't want a messy clean up or clogged drains)...they add scent and color and texture...buy product safe for consumption.
