Maybe you need a different player like Windows media player. I never have any problems.

you might be missing the codec to hear the sound, or need a flash plug in; try downloading an AC3 filter. Hope that it helps!

Go into control panel and select "Sounds and Audio Devices." You should be able to click on sound and change it from there.
