1. What do you classify as a quickie? Where in the office was this conducted? For instance, having sex in the toilet or cleaner's closet may contravene regulation but could still be argued that you took precaution not to be discovered. Whereas having sex in an open plan office is far more problematic.
2. The location of the CCTV camera is critical. There are strict guidance regulations about where cameras are allowed to be put up. I'd do some intensive research as to whether or not the location of your CCTV is lawful.
3. Are you or the other person in a managerial role or workers for the company? A manager is sure to be sacked for taking advantage of the position, a worker may possibly get away with a severe warning, in lieu of previous personnel record.
4. Contact your human resources department as your company will have a policy regarding office conduct. The act itself is deemed as 'gross misconduct' and is unfortunately grounds for dismissal.
I hope it works out and if it doesn't I hope the person was worth it. Best of luck to you!

Yes they can sack you. I am sure they could sack you for a lot of other things that are not in your contract of employment. Some things just requires some common sense. Do not have sex at work. If you do, make sure there are no cameras.

The simple answer is yes, if they want to.
It is classed an act of gross indecency.
They can also sack you because of a breach of an implied term of your contract of employment. This is "Mutual trust and confidence" You have done something that would not be conducive with company practice and you are guilty of inappropriate behaviour on company premesis.
They could show that you have breached their trust in you to act in a responsible manner whilst on company premesis.

If you were on your own time it is none of their business. Hopefully neither of you supervise the other that is bad management. If you knew about the CCTV then there must be some thrill in doing it before the camera. If you did not know about the cameras then you may be able to sue them for violation of your privacy. As long as the both of you are of legal age that should be between you.

Oooh! I suppose it could be classed as gross misconduct.
Was it OUTSIDE working hours? Were you BOTH willing. Were you BOTH sacked? I would talk to a solicitor who specialises in employment law for some sound advice.

Of course you can. I read one of the other answers suggesting that if it is on your own time you are on the clear but that is not the case. They can probably get you for bringing the company into disrepute (imagine a customer/client/outsider/whatever) coming in to find you at it.
There have been cases where women posing in their work uniforms in their own time and in their own homes have been sacked for bringing the company into disrepute.

If it was your boss you might just about get away with it, but yes they can sack you both. I think you'll find it's law and not necessarily your contract that covers it.
