I mean getting a little choke up and misty every now and then I can understand. But what I'm talking about is bawling like a baby.

Some examples from real dramatic movies would be;

1.The scene from Braveheart when Mel's character screams "FREEDOM!!"
2. The scene from Titanic, when Kate Winslett's character watches "Jack" die.
3The Scene from Glory where they do the battle charge.
etc..

For me though its getting a little out of hand, I was watching....The little Mermaid, and I started crying like a baby....lol. I had to stop the dvd, screaming to myself "what the hell is wrong with me, its the little mermaid for christ sake".

I'm usually not that emotional, in fact I keep them in check in public. Perhaps because of my enviroment (I'm from an inner city neighborhood). Maybe movies are like an outlet for all those bottled up emotions.

The reason why I like to movies alone, so I can let it all out.

What are your opinions?

Heh Its all good dude most guys spend their whole lives trying to keep all their emotions bottled up. You are probably in or around a lot of stressful stuff so you should count your self lucky to have found a good healthy way to let out your emotions. Some dudes I know just snapped from all the pent up anger and are now in jail for doing some really crazy ****. FREEDOM !!!!! I went into a movie theater with a real tough guy bud of mine dude was all ways getting into fights people were down right scared to death of this guy. He was what most people call a bad ***. any how we walk in giving every one the eye that says don't **** with us or we will kill you. Then it happened FREEDOM !!! heh so much for looking like tough guys we both ended up laughing at the other for letting a tear or two fall out. Its all good man just don't go around telling all you friends or they will start to think you a girly man.

I cried in Gone in 60 Seconds when Nicholas Cage was destroying "Elenor".

On a more serious note I cannot watch the last scene of 8 Seconds without breaking down. Just sitting here typing about it I am getting misty eyed.

Hey, don't hide your emotions. To heck with what others may think. Just be yourself. Everyone is different for different reasons. I would rather see a man cry than see one that doesn't show any emotion, or is so hard or cold hearted, he can't. Besides, crying is good for you. It doesn't do any good to hold back your feelings. Let it out. I can understand if you don't want to do it in public. Maybe you could go watch comedies in public and save the tear jerkers for private.

Go for it...as long as you aren't carrying the sad parts within you and having that bother you further...there's really no reason why not.

If you haven't yet seen it, The Notebook, you'd think it would be sappy but the message is incredible...a very "wow" how incredible to have such a relationship...and go ahead and bawl...good for the soul.

It's ok to CRY, not sob like a girl. I tear up during war movies. Examples would be movies like, Tears of the Sun, Saving Private Ryan, and others like Meet Joe Black...

My husband cries when he watches Black Hawk Down. He's very emotional about war movies. I guess because his dad fought in the Korean war.

I for one would love it if my boyfriend did it. But i probably wouldn't know it. Cuz if he cries even a little bit in a movie.. then i must be balling my eyes out. (doesn't take alot to break my heart)(but i takes alot to make him cry) lol
