I get compliments on my eyelashes all the time and have never worn fakes. I use a really good eyelash curler (makes a big difference) and Lancome's defincils in blackest black. Even though it costs more than the other brands is goes much further and the quality is excellent so in the long run it really isn't that much more! Good luck :)

Maybelline is always the best for me!
For the longest time I used Maybelline Sky-High Curves, and I was in love with it. Then my friends recommended Maybelline Great Lash, and I love it just the same. So whichever works for you. :)
And by the way, always get the waterproof! Even if you don't plan on getting wet that day, it never smudges or gives you the raccoon-eye.

I think that you have to try few of them and see which one works for you. For example, my best friend wears only Revlon, that one looks horrible on me. I love Lancome Flextencils, (Hypnose, is very good as well). Here's a link:

Maybelline is nice for a soft natural look, but my eye lashes look very thin and short, even after 2 applications. Revlon mascara looks messy on my eyelashes as opposed to my friend's. However, Lancome is just perfect, it gives me full long lashes and for a dramatic look for the evening, two coats look super nice.

I love Max Factor 2000 calorie. Maybelline does have some good ones though, although I've never been a fan of the famed pink and green one.

I am absolutely in love with Lancome Definicils. It has a cult following and for a reason. Go to the counter and just try it and you will be hooked!
