The Democrats are OK with pages being molested, as long as they are the only ones doing the molesting.

Typical of a Republican to bring up something that happened 20+ years ago.
Democrats do NOT have a double standard on the page issue. Most of the Democrats in Congress were not there 20+ years ago when the incident you are referring to happened. By the way, there was another Republican Congressman about the same time who had an affair with a young female page as well.

You can only try to change the subject, but kids under the charge of the Republican Leadership being sexually tracked and bribed with language and promises of special treatment is a subject worth some heads rolling.
Where was the Speaker of the House, or the other Republican leaders while all this misbehavior was going on in the Halls of Congress?
If Hastert would have shared the concerns for the pages with the Democrats, this would have been dealt with in the proper way.
That was the fatal mistake.
The Republicans got caught being partisan with the fate of the young Pages in the balance. Republicans thought they could keep the dark little secret hidden until after the election.

I got a kick out of the family values thing posted by someone answering this question. How can dummycrats question family values when the reelected a congressman that sexually abused a teenager two times and stood behind a president that used an intern then denied it was sex. Dummycrats are hard up for ways to get votes so they have to blow smoke. If they had positive things to say about their records and plans perhaps they could accomplish something. Remember the person that condemns others usually is hiding somethings themselves.

You're kidding right?
They have a double standard on everything, ever since 1991.

That was then and that party hasn't done anything like this since the 80's. It doesn't make the circumstances of THIS scandal any less threatening to our image as a world power, nor does it speak to accountability in government today.
What happened in the 80's is back in the 80's. Republican supporters have no leg to stand on with regard to this issue today. It also makes the arrogant, moral superiority of the Republican party seem like a little bit of a lie to voters.

Because Republicans approve of heterosexual sex, but not homosexual sex. They could have run the guy out if they had wanted to back then.
You see gay republicans are taking over the country. Everywhere I go, we're getting a new crop of them in office.
I think that is very interesting since republicans hate gays and don't want them to have any rights.
I have nothing against gays. I just have a problem with the hypocritical republicans who vote them in office claiming they don't know they are gay. Then those republican gays elected stand up there in DC and judge the Democrat gays and do nothing for their cause.
Now that's a farce.

Get out of the 80's.... Mullets aren't in anymore... and Michael Jackson is now white!
I do agree and they should let the investigation play itself out, however he has admitted his guilt!

Let's talk about today and all of the disgusting things the Republicans have done to Americans and the world TODAY. How far do you need to dig back to protect slime. Face the facts. These guys are losers and need to be dumped fast and good Republicans know that. Save your party and start anew.

If you are referring to Dan Crane -- he WAS NOT "reelected twice" after this scandal was exposed -- the scandal was exposed in 1983 ansd he was defeated in 1984....
Also, Mel Reynolds WAS NOT pardoned by Bill Clinton for the sex crimes he committed, he served his time for those crimes and was also convicted of bank fraud and was serving time for that and Clinton commuted the sentence for bank fraud -- Reynolds was not pardoned by Clinton for anything.
Just more examples of Republicans who can't get the facts straight --
