21.5

Organize your data by listing it from the smallest to largest number.

5, 12, 21, 22, 33, 39

The Median is the number which is in the exact middle of the data set. So, since there are 6 numbers take the average of the middle two 21 and 22. 21+22=43, and 43/2=21.5.

There are 6 values. The medium is the value for which 3 are larger & 3 are smaller, so

5, 12 & 21 are the smallest & 22, 33, 39 are the largest.
The medium is 21.5

first put your numbers in order ok least to greatest
5,12,21,22,33,39
second you count and see how many numbers you have
(you have six)
thirdly you count three from the front(which would be 21)and three from the back(which would be 22)
fourth you add 21 and 22 together and you get 43
fifth you divide 43 by 2
sixth you get the answer(which is 21.5)
