Is there anyone else who does NOT allow their kids to dress as witches, the devil, monsters, etc. for halloween?

I'm sure I'll get a lot of rude comments...but I don't care. You can have "fun" without glorifying the dark side. Most of those who will be rude, well, it's past your bed time anyway.

I let my children dress as they want. I met a man once who was convinced that witches all over the world got together on Halloween and prayed against christians. They probably have a right to after Salem but the truth is that witches are good people. You probably even know a couple and don't realize it. Just try to lighten up.

I don't have kids but I totally see you're point of view. There are so many other things that kids can dress up as without glorifying those type of things.

we actually dont do halloween at all
but the one year we did my son was about 2 and he went as a cute little lion with his face painted with little whiskers and all
it was so cute
anyway
if we still did halloween it would be something equally as cute
i agree you dont have to glorify the "dark side"
