Colder temperatures have been recorded in the Antarctic than the Arctic. Based on ice mass, inhabitants and so forth, the south pole appears to be maintaining colder temperatures aswell.
There are several reasons for the disparity, the elliptical orbit and tilted axis mentioned earlier are some of these, the area is further away from the sun more frequently than the north pole.
The northern hemisphere is more affected by human activity than the south, and there is greater evidence of global warming and pollution up there too. Which means, that the temperature difference may not have always been so prominent. But there are definitely trends that say if one polar cap were to melt before the other, the north would go first.

The south pole, by far. The temperature at the north pole is moderated by the Arctic Ocean. The south pole, by contrast, is in the middle of the continent, and without the modifying influence of nearby water, termperatures in the minus triple digits (F) can occur.

The south pole. The winters are colder in the southern hemisphere because the earth is farther from the sun then. The earth is in an eliptical orbit, and it varies from 92 to 94 million miles from the sun.
