just keep an eye on your soil.. and that will tell you.. some people don't realize that wind takes as much water from your soil as the hot sun.. but morning dew also helps water. remember, one good deep soil watering is better than alot of top soil watering.. cut your watering in half, from what you have been doing.. in about a week go out and look at the soil, it should have about 2 inches of wet soil.. adjust if needed.. it would be a good idea to keep a record of what you do, so next year you will know without having to go out and check each week

You can water your lawn and shrubs right up until a freeze. Especially evergreens, as they lose alot of moisture during the winter.
