I bought a 2003 Chevy Malibu in 2005 with an extended warranty. Last month my car was totaled in a car accident, should I be able to get a refund from the extended warranty I purchased? I bought the car with 13950 miles and was totaled at about 28000 miles, and I only had is for 10 months.

You can probably get more money from the insurance company if you tell them that!!! Never take the first offer than the insurance company gives you for the car!!! Always fight it they will give you more for your car!! Show them the highest prices of the same year and mileage car!! But if you already got your money for the car it might be to late and i don't think the dealer will refund your money!!

YES!! You will have to have some proof that it was totaled. Contact the customer service center where you have the warranty. They will be able to tell you everything you need to do. You will need the exact date and mileage at the time of death of your car.

I had to do the same thing a few months ago and I got a pretty good refund considering the car was 4 years old!

Good luck.

Talk to the people who issued you the extended warranty. Some do and some don't. Will depend on the agreement you signed.

Read the fine print. You might be able to transfer to a different car.
