WHENEVER I OPEN AN E-MAIL, IT LOADS, BUT WITH ERRORS AND ONCE OPEN, I CAN NOT FORWARD, REPLY, MOVE IT TO A FOLDER, OR DELETE IT. I CAN GO BACK TO ALL MY MAIL AND CHECK THE BOX AND THEN DELETE OR MOVE IT TO A FOLDER, BUT THE ONLY THING I CAN DO TO GET AROUND THE SITUATION IS TO CUT AND PASTE IF I WANT TO FORWARD THE MESSAGE. (IN MY GERERAL PREFERENCES, I HAVE CHECKED PLAIN TEXT FOR COMPOSING.

I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME.

you might have a virus, or, the email application is having problems. check for viruses, then see what happens. if it still behaves weirdly, then the email application is currently havging problems

Do the same thing you did with composing to plain text, in the Read Tab...put a bullet in the box that says "Read in plain text".
