I can't believe some of you wouldn't tip your delivery driver at least the equivalent of a gallon of gas. Pizza drivers usually get minimum wage or less and depend on your tips to make a living plus upkeep of their vehicles get really expensive.

You would tip the same as you tip when you got to eat at restaurant. So...at least 15-20%. If you are a regular the driver will know if you are a good tipper or not. If you tip well they will be sure you order will arrive at your home first. If you are a bad tipper the driver will definitely go to your home last.
Driver work as a minimum wages and they rely on tips as much as wait staff. Not to say gas price has gone up so much. be considerate and be a good tipper

Hi lippOer,

I usually tip $2.00 but when gas prices were up I tipped $5.00 because pizza delivery people don't make that much money this way some for gas & tip all in one. Besides if you can afford pizza why not make the pizza delivery guy/girl day. Where I live they deliver anything you can think of including booze(liquor) Have a good day!

I tip my main pizza delivery person $2 every time, because they are only located about 5 minutes from where I live. And I throw an extra $5-$10 around Christmas time, as a show of good faith.

I used to deliver pizzas.
Lookit....have pity on those poor souls. The pizza companies do not pay these guys enough to run their cars. It seems like they are making an OK amount for a bad job, but they are putting a lot of miles, bad miles, on their cars and trashing them. They're stuck, after a year or two, with a junk car and no money to pay for another one. The pizza companies treat these employees like crap. Domino's pizza is a slave factory.
Tip your delivery driver $2.00. That's a fair tip.

At least $2. The dollar charged for delivery service does not usually go to the deliverer. Besides, tipping usually guarantees prompt delivery service.

For the poor souls that say you aren't suppose to tip them, check your pizza very carefully before eating. Pizza deliverers do remember the best tippers.

15% is standard if you are feeling generous 20 to 25% of the bill. Remember these people are doing us a service, also remember the price of gas, insurance, and upkeep on their vehicle.
