Yes it is possible. Sister-in-law was pregnant with triplets, the boy miscarried and the 2 girls were delivered at around 8 months.
My aunt was also pregnant with twins, the boy was miscarried and the girl made it to full term.
According to both of their doctors, it tends to be the male that usually miscarries.

Yes I have heard of this -
"Sometimes one twin will miscarry, leaving the other to develop on its own. If this happens early in the first trimester, bleeding and the passage of tissue may occur or the mother's body may simply absorb it. A miscarriage that takes place later than three or four months' gestation requires close observation, usually by a specialist."

Certainly. As an example: fraternal twins are conceived from two eggs - not one. Even with identical twins - one may die before live birth and would be miscarried/spontaneously aborted (depending on the length of the pregnancy).

yes, it happens. If you think this has happened to you, you need to call your doctor NOW to possibly preserve the health of the living twin.
