entitities? Of course some folks running for office would have more cash then others due to personal wealth and campaign donations but that would be offset by public funds making the playing field level. I know that campain advertisements don't sway most of the intellects on here, but there are some dummies out there.....

Public funds are already available to candidates under current law. I'm talking about the lobbying that results in illegal payoffs ala Tom Delay, Abrahmoff, not the right under the constitution ya spin meister!!

Let's simplify the whole thing .
All campaign money must go to the party , not a candidate .
The party will decide who gets how much .
All donations must be by check made out to the party .

"Public funds." The bottomless pit of the American taxpayer. I've got an idea for you, too. Explain where that money is going to come from.

You can't make "lobbying" illegal. "Lobbying" is protected by the First Amendment: "the right of the people ... to petition the government for a redress of grienvances."

Free speech....

There would be a hidden corrupt way around it.

There should be no limits for political contributions and no restrictions to public political discussions, and no public funding.

I don't want my confiscated "public" funds to be used on candidates I don't agree with.
