HELL NO!

I am a University Educated woman married to a truck-driving man with grade 11 equivalency. And you know what? In a lot of ways he's smarter than me. I may be able to answer more questions on Jeopardy, but he can "McGyver" just about anything. I have a bigger vocabulary, but he can see through people to what's really important. He sometimes bemoans the fact that he never graduated high school or went on to "higher Education" but in my books, he's one of the smartest people I know. (He also makes six figures - he drives the truck and I do the books.) What's not smart about that???

No. I think there are some very smart people out there who don't have a college degree. Of course, these days it's hard to get a good job without one but just because you have a higher education doesn't necessarily make you smarter than anyone else. You may be more "book smart", but sometimes life experience is the best education.

Not necessarily, through life I have met some people that were very intelligent, but not well-educated. From all walks of life carpenters, contractors, police officers, even dug dealers. Personally, I think they probably would have done so much more with a formal education, but except for the drug dealers they had all accomplished much.

Absolutely NOT!!! I took one of the "Tickle" I.Q. tests online. I scored a 124. I never spent a single minute on a college campus! I'm not bragging but "Tickle" said 130 is genius. Not too bad for a mere high school graduate.

I know some "educated" people. They may be book smart, but they don't have bit of COMMON SENSE!!!!!

ok....first of all...define smart. if u mean common sense, then someone has to have worldly knowledge; but if ur tlkin book smarts, then it's level of education received; and to have either, you have to have the other. and to the "i got 124 on the tickle IQ test" high school graduate, i got 152 and i'm 14
