whats the diffrence between core 2 duo and pentium d?

Pentium d is the old generation of Intel processors. The core 2 duo is the latest and much improved product. It uses the new 65 nm process, as opposed to the 90 nm of the old architecture. (smaller is better). The core 2 can overclock really well, and they have better interface with the memory. Also they come mostly with 4mb L2 cache.

Core 2 Duo uses new architecture to make it faster than then Pentium D. The Pentium D is still using the old Pentium 4 architecture that is years old. What you end up with is Core 2 Duo giving better performance at lower clock speeds and using less power to do so.

The core 2 is probably the fastest processer on the market right now. It is def faster than the pentium d. Dont get me wrong, the pentium d is still a great processer, but if youve got the extra cash to spend, def go with the core 2....

This guy is only here to cause problems. I found out about him a few days ago, when i asked a question about GIF images, and he sent me an answer telling me to go f*** myself.
