There was once a thunderstorm. MY grandma was down the hallway and this loud thunder stuck with lightning and the power went out. I ran out the room and knocked her down!

NO.....never have.....I live in the Midwest and we get really terrific Summer T-Storms. It must be genetic.....my Mom and I would sleep on the back porch and you could smell and feel the rain and watch the fabulous light show......when my Daughter was young, we'd sit in the front hallway on the floor and have a picnic and watch the storm. She lives in LA now and tells me one of the things she misses most is Summer rain & thunderstorms. I sent her a really great CD of "Thundering Rainstorm"....got one for myself to play all year round!

I don't get scared of ghosts or anything. But I do worry that lightning might strike my house and set it on fire. Or if I'm in the shower I worry that lightning will hit the house, travel down the pipe and eloctrocute me. Ghosts and things that go bump in the night are the least of my fears during a thunderstorm.

I grew up with thunderstorms, & when I was a very little kid, I'd run outside to enjoy them (until my parents stopped me because of lightning!) Living in the California Bay Area, I miss them terribly. They are so dramatic, so exciting. I also get EXTREMELY energized during electric storms. There's a scientific reason for this, but I've forgotten...My sister use to cry & hide under the bed. So there you are. Different strokes for different folks, & I doubt that we ever change.

I get nervous during sever ones but only because too many fires happen during thunder and lightening storms. Otherwise, I turn off all the lights, lay in bed, and just listen to nature.

I am never afraid of thunder..it is the lightning that kills people..so I say no I am not...it is fun to watch the lights flash at night when we lose power...
and I always say..if it is your time to go..it is your time to go and nothing or no one can stop it.....no matter what...
so you might as well relax and enjoy one of mother natures wonderful shows....
sit back and watch and have fun
good luck

I'm ashamed to admit it but I am a big baby when it comes to thunderstorms. All of my children and my husband love them. I sit in the livingroom with my fingers in my ears and I hum and keep my eyes closed until it's over!! Isn't that terrible? I am 33 years old and they still scare me like they did when I was 5. :)

Regular thunderstorms, I love them, but after being in Bridgecreek, Oklahoma in 1999 tornadoes scare the heck out of me.
