That is very interesting. I do not think it is funny at all. Some foods can reduce the cramps you have during your period. However, I do not think it is stupid. She is probably ignorant or nieve, to think food is bad for your period. If you don't eat, and just drink water, you will bloat up, and retain more water, and gain weight~

Neither of you already know a thanks to communicate. You smacked the flies with a purpose. He had a foul reaction. You replied with yet another undesirable reaction because you felt insulted. next time he questions you or calls you stupid basically chuckle at him. Be very calm and say "no, i'm no longer stupid." and basically walk out of the room. No reaction is oftentimes better effective than a heated reaction because you aren't to any extent further replied from hardship-free experience you're responding out of your ego. you need to be better in touch with the actual undeniable actuality that he calls you stupid over tiny issues and tells you to close up. no longer an exceedingly outstanding man or woman. might want to you enable your ultimate chum to seek for suggestion from from you that way? probable no longer.

Teens often make up these stories out of curiosity about the private parts of life.
Never take your advice from a teen, it will probably be as wrong as this girl's knowledge of menstruation.
Food does give you cramps sometimes. But that is a completely different hole.

I think it's hilarious.
But it actually has its roots in some ancient cultures. In some cultures women were considered unclean during menses. In some cultures, women were cast out from their houses when their menses came. They weren't allowed to prepare food.
Who knows, maybe she's an old soul.

It's ignorant. Someone told her this and she believes it without question. I know two sisters who's mother would not allow them to take a shower or bath the whole time they were on their periods. Ew.

The sad thing is it was probably an adult (her parents) that told her this. There is many old wive's tales about this sort of thing but that's the first time I've heard that one.
