I understand to give some people thumbs down for STUPID/RUDE/INCORRECT answers- but seems many people on here just give thumbs down to any answer BUT the one they wrote. Isn't that stupid? Why do that do that?

At first I worried about this but you have to let go. I personally think the thumbs up/down thing should just be gotten rid of. As you said, there are a large minority of people on here who are just aholes looking to rile you up.

Because they have ego problems. I guess they figure if they see a thumbs down then maybe they won't vote for that answer. I have no idea. I see it a lot too. And not only that, there aren't any points for a thumbs down for either party, so why even bother.'

i think of people play favorites in this internet site and as somebody else suggested there are cliques...good and undesirable, basically like extreme college. If, as an occasion, my perspectives do no longer upload up with the dominate concept/fad/ideas-set of this internet site, i'm getting one thousand TDs even on confident or no solutions.

The thumbs down is for the asker to hide irrelevant answers posted if he/she choose so.

Not everyone has the same definition of STUPID/RUDE. I agree that a lot of it is preteen immaturity. But I think most of it is just people expressing their opinion.

I think alot of people lack humor and attention, not to mention self confidence....so rather grow up, they would rather get some kind of chuckle out of bein inmature. Kinda like the stupid answers people give on here just to get points. People like that want to be on top reguardless of who they step on and and reguardless of if they deserve it or not.....chances are they are like that off here too.
