Self-confidence is: I can be a great person if I work hard and DO great things.
Over inflated self-worth would be: I am great. (Just because.)
It's all in the attitude. When you're self-confident, you know you're capable, and you're willing to try.

Great question.
A really good sense of humor can help. People (I've found) who have a "fat ego" tend not to be able to laugh at themselves. They take themselves FAR too seriously and think whatever they do, say or think is earth shattering and of vital importance to everyone.
Humility can be a good thing until it starts to sound like martyrdom and a call to "notice me--I'm humble and noble" which is a real turn off.
To what do you attribute your sudden boost in confidence? You have a wonderful brain, so feel confident about that.
Enjoy your day.

You are very self-aware and I think that will probably prohibit you from having an over-inflated sense of self-worth. People who look outward as well as inward can typically evaluate and empathize with the experiences of others, thus giving them a healthy and measured sense of self-worth.

WHY the boost in self confidence?? Lets hope its not coming from others cuz it needs to come from within or youre gonna end up right back where you were. This is not something you should have to analyze so much- It makes you seem even MORE insecure :/

This is going to sound like satire but it is the truth. Stop looking at yourself and start looking at how you can contribute to the world. You will balance out naturally.
May GOD richly bless ya.

The bible teaches us to love others like we love ourselves. If you do that, then you won't get over-inflated. You'll be concerned for both your own wants and for theirs.
