it didn't have anything to do with holding your arm. she was watching your face. most of us have little telltale signs called 'tells' that tell when we're lying.
a common "tell' is to touch one's nose when they are lying. another "tell" is a furtive eye movement---looking briefly away from the person asking the question.
your sister knows your 'tells'. she may not even realize she's doing it---but all she has to do is watch for these signs and every time she sees them, you're BUSTED!

Ok number one, sisters have an uncanny ability to tell when the other is lying. With my sister, I can tell by her eyes, and the shape of her lips and the way she will say yuh huh!
She isn't physcic don't worry. It is very possible you gave her another subtle clue without knwoing, like your eyes, or lips, or the way you said something, or the wording, or she just plain new better. Your muscles may have been tensed and if you were in any sort of elevated adrenaline state, such as anxious or nervous, scared ect....or other things you tend to feel when you lie, your pulse may have went up - very easily felt!
Or maybe she heard you talking, or heard whatever it was through the grapevine and already knew you were lying and wanted to freak you out.
Don't be scared. I used to do it to my sister all the time. I used to grab her on the head ( put my fingers on her temple ) and watch her face....worked like a charm LOL!!!!

i think that your sister just used 'feeling your arm' thing as a distruction...it would make sure that you would not control your body/face language while lying...while you were thinking about how she was feeling your hand, she had been looking at you and catching all those little 'lie signs' as you were speaking...

She probably noticed that your muscles were clenched when you were lying, because it made you tense. That's a pretty smart sister you have there. I think I'd be on her side, and whatever you do, don't lie to her!!!

When your lying your musles clench up and your heart rate goes up so you can feel it in your hand and neck to tell if you were lying.

Oh, cause when you lie your heartbeat goes up, and so she can tell this by feeling your pulse. That's how lie detectors work I think...
