It's so cold in Toronto, my house is 18 C degree. What about you? I have to wear a coat at home during the winter times to save money on heating...

30 - 34 °C in the day and
24 - 28 °C in the night Now.

To save on heating, I suggest u try if it is affordable in ur area.
Take a long cloth like a bedsheet but much bigger, even old (tattered) cloth will do but they have to be little thicker. On the outside wall nail the walls 6 up 6 down and 4 on left & right, and fix this cloth, it it is tattered patch this with some cartoon stickers. and see to it that it is about 6-12 inches away from the wall on the lower side, and on the top this gap must be minimum or no gap. This will look like an 60°∠. The gap in the bottom should also be covered. This will ensure that the outside cold wind do not touch the walls directly. If you get a dark platic sheet instead of this cloth then your room will be a more warmer maybe by 2 or 3° C.
Depending the structure of your room, if are able to put on all the 4 walls then it will be more warmer.

Happy saving!!!!!

I'm in Michigan and I try to keep it at 70 Farenheit, but every time I turn around my husband has turned up the heat as far as it goes to 90. He's always freezing this time of year. Last winter, some months the gas bill was over $400. It's ridiculous. A lot of people around here are switching to wood pellet stoves. They say it saves a lot of money. I have to go on a budget plan year round with the gas company just to pay for those 4 months of winter.

In the winter we keep the temperature at 68 degree's during the day and at night its programmed at 65 degree's, and thats pretty comfortable for us....and the heating/gas prices are increasing so me have to lower it again depending on how cold it gets here in michigan this winter!!

We're abut low 80's here for high and low about low 70's. Nice fall weather for a change in Louisiana. Love the South. Not that I would not want to c snow for X-Mas season but I don't miss it being that cold. Just cool. Try getting a blanket that has heat controls on them. U can turn it up or down and feel warm and toasty at night. Wear sweats and thick socks..good luck.

I live in central Wisconsin. In the winter we keep our house around 68-69 F degree. I'm not sure how that compares to C degree. We do turn it up when are expectifng people over. Otherwise we just were sweaters if needed.

I understand where you're coming from. I live in Illinois and right now my house is a cool 68 degrees F, but if the heating prices keep going up, I might be in your shoes. Maybe one answer is to buy a cheap space heater and move it around the house. Good luck -- and hope for warmer temps.

I am in Texas after spending over 50 years in California. it seems hotter most of the time in Texas. Right now it is 71F at 10 a.m. with the windows open. We do get a winter here but probably won't have to put the heater on till December.

I keep my home thermostat at 76 degrees F in summer, 68 in winter and add or remove clothing to stay comfortable. At night, I raise it to 78 in summer to try and save a bit on the bill. I live in north Texas.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr,, 72 in the AC. Whats winter? ;-)
68F to 74F is plenty.. Sorry no converter!
Make sure you stop any drafts!!!
Plastic coverings for windows work too.
Caulk, foam, etc. Not sure how old your house is.
Close off rooms your not using. So you can heat just the ones you use the most. Electric Blanket if you really need to be warm at night.

I'm in Hainan, South China.
I'm sat here in my underwear. The temperature is 29, and its 9am.
It gets down to about 22 in the middle of winter, and up to about 36 in SummerI moved here from North China. In winter there, I used to wear 6 layers of clothing, with hat, scarf and gloves, and was still cold.
I hate being cold.
