Hi!

I finished college in two and half year with an BS in accounting and I am working on my master. Below is an outline of what I did

1. Start with community college

I went to a community college first to finish all my general education courses. It's a great way to speed up on your education and save money at the same time. In a community college, there is no limit on the classes you can take per semester. For example: I took 30 credit hours of work one semester and pay for 12 credit hours. However, I was in class from 7am (early bird) to 9pm every day. I did very good in all those classes, but only the credit hours are transferable, not the grades.

** you need to make sure that the classes you are taking are transferable and meet the requirement of an university.

2. Transfer from community college to an university.

I spent a year at a community college and finished 72 credit hours. Then, I transfered to an university to start on my concentration courses. You can only take 18 credit hours per semester at the university and your GPA will start at 0. The concentration courses are much harder than the general education courses, so it may hurt your GPA.

***
Community College:
Fall 2003 ------- 22 Credit hours
Spring 2004 ------- 32 Credit hours
Summer 2004 ------ 18 Credit hours
University:
Fall 2004 ------------ 18 Credit hours
Spring 2005 ------- 18 Credit hours
Summer 2005 ------ 12 Credit hours + Internship
Fall 2005 ------------- 16 Credit hours + Internship
Spring 2006 --------- enter graduate school

Overall, have fun in class.

Okay, if I am correct, you need something like 30 hours or less to have an associate's degree, so in my opinion, take at least fifteen hours a semester in all of your required basics classes, then take summer school for two summers, with the maximum of 9 hours each. Does this help?
