Standing on the left side, looking at the tires, they should rotate counter-clockwise, standing on the right side of the car looking at the car the wheels should rotate clockwise.

front to back/back to front.
don't change the direction of rotation on a radial by moving it to the opposite side.
if you need to put a radial on the opposite side, it needs to be taken off the rim and turned around so the rotation stays the same.

i own a repair shop,and on today's tires it doesn't make any difference on them,they used to recommend from front to rear but now its mostly the x pattern ,but i rotate mine all different ways and it hasn't hurt them any and there 3 years old now,,but i don't think it will make any difference in the ones made now,good luck i hope this help,s

Front to back. If you feel you must use the old cross-over pattern, have the tires dismounted and remounted inside-out on the other side.

The mew tires need to be front to back same side it used X now the tire people say front to back same side.
