Of course it's normal. More than that I think it's admirable. It shows that you are truly interested in the world around you and that you care. In my opinion, it also implies that you are an interesting and caring person. Keep watching.

Faux (sorry, Fox) "News" is more accurately called "Republican State Television". All it ever does is parrot whatever nonsense the Bush Administration or the Religious Right nutcases are pushing.
Try BBC News or Public Television for a truly balanced presentation of the news.

Good for you Jose for being interested in current events. Normal, shmormal, enjoy what you like. Vary your viewing so you know the different perspectives the networks have. Watch the C-Span channels, too, and listen to talk radio. Read some of the online news blogs as well. Good luck to you, young man.

Considering most of the other options on TV these days, I'd say you've chosen wisely ! (But you might want to check out some of the other news channels, too, just to get some balance. Most of those channels, and Fox is no exception, have a bit of their own agenda.)

Are you implying that other 18 yr olds do not watch the news channels? I think you need to expand your circle of friends a bit more.

Keep in mind that they can at times lie to you. Many years ago there was a program on "Public Television". about news and newscasters. There were interviews with quite a few "News Anchormen", who stated that before they go on the air they are told, "Here's What You're Going to Tell Them Tonight". They only aired that program once(can you figure out why?).

Your age has nothing to do with it; it is normal for anyone who is interested in politics to watch national news channels. I also watch FOX News and sometimes listen to Sean Hannity's radio show. Every good Republican should watch FOX News.

I don't like FoxNews, however I've watched the news (cable, local, nightly )since I was in 2nd grade. I have just always loved it from the moment I discovered it and for the same reasons as yourself.
Don't know if it's normal, but you're not alone :)
