I mean, you design them to your specifications, no one is going to make sure they are actually similar to yourself. Some of the choices people make on theirs is just... strange.

What is this obsession with what is beautiful and what is ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so just because you think it is ugly doesn't mean that it is. Maybe we just need to be more open-minded to all sorts of beauty instead of the typical looks that we have been accustomed to calling beautiful.

I guess the ugliest ones are made by little children. I actually had troubles making mine to look not ugly. Just like you say, somehow for some reason I was looking for something that looks approximately like me, but if I get the all details as close to reality as possible (like hair color) it comes out pretty bad.

some people want to be unique and strange ...because in real life they might be mundane and boring ......they can use their avatars to live out the fantasy of being wild and crazy without actually having to make those type of dramatic changes in real life.....its called living vicariously through ones avatar.

You are sooooo wrong ! I wouldnt have an avatar that didnt look like me or represent me in some way or another . It must look just like me or be actaully a pic of me for me to use it .

I agree but that's not a question ... I only responded b/c I'm a witness to it ... one girl had green eye make-up and pink lipstick on a dark black face with glasses and a bright background ... in my response to her I told her her picture was a mess...........
