If it weren't for our King of Rock'n'Roll, where would the Beatles be? Elvis Presely brought us the juvenile delincuency look girls started to luster for, same coming when lust for the Beatles. Truly, the Beatles are fantastic, but Elvis brought the fame to the music (don't worry, I know there were artists [black!] who were already rockin' before the king, just not famous).

I think theoretically that Elvis could have taken out all four of the Beatles, but since the Beatles still have two members living I think they win the Beatles vs Elvis contest

McCartney or Lennon solo are better than Elvis, not fair to try to pit the poor guy against the creative Juggernaut that was the Beatles. The guy didn't even write many of his own songs.
At best you could compare Elvis to other singers of his day....he would do OK in that battle, but still he doesn't stack up to his hype. Carl Perkins is better than Elvis, and maybe even Jerry Lee.
